Marium Vahed is a writer, activist, and student at the University of Toronto. She is a major advocate for building spaces for community on campus. Marium is a founding member of How Many Lives: a movement and organization focused on bringing awareness to the mental health crisis on campus. This year she is creating safe spaces for students to reframe their perceived failures as positive. She also oversees a variety of projects to create a sense of community and well-being in her program, including a mentorship program, a multi-media journal, and a wide range of events in her role as President of the Diaspora and Transnational Studies Union.
