Kevin Calder has over 20 years of experience in violence prevention and behavioural threat assessment and management, with a focus on enhancing both physical and psychological safety in the workplace. Most recently, he served as Manager of Investigations and Threat Management for the City of Vancouver before returning to full-time consulting in 2023.

Kevin specializes in safety-compliant violence risk assessments, workplace investigations, and the design of prevention programs that address risks of bullying, harassment, threats, and violence, particularly from the public. He also supports organizations in implementing behavioural threat assessment and management (BTAM) programs to strengthen worker safety and organizational resilience.

His recent projects span municipal and regional governments, libraries, recreation facilities, bylaw enforcement, post-secondary institutions, health care, and social services. Kevin is a Certified Threat Manager (ATAP) and holds certifications in workplace investigations (CAWI), conflict resolution and leadership (JIBC), and security management (ASIS International).
