Dr. Stacy Sprague

As the Executive Director of Safety Health and Wellness for the People Team at Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Dr. Stacy Sprague plays an integral role in helping the organization support the safety health and wellness of its 30,000 employees and medical staff. She leads the programs that are charged with: supporting workers’ physical and mental health and well being, enhancing the culture of psychological and physical safety in healthcare , developing wellness strategies and programs that support workforce health, mental health and all associated recruitment and retention efforts, regulatory and safety compliance, disability management and early rehabilitation services, and healthy transportation services. Keeping the healthcare sector workforce safe and now supporting their mental health was no small feat in the height of COVID 19 and remains a key focus of her work today. Innovation, inclusion equity and collaboration are foundational elements that guide her teams.
Stacy is a registered psychologist, registered social worker, a certified executive coach, a certified change practitioner, a certified psychological health and safety trainer and advisor, a member of the Vancouver Coastal Health ethics committee and a part time faculty member currently teaching Industrial and Organizational psychology. She is also a published academic writer and aspiring fictional writer, a part time guest radio host and lover of animals. Early mornings you can find her on the tennis court, at the gym, in the water or on a ski hill .Stacy believes that physical health and well being is an integral part in maintaining her own resilience and mental health.
Stacy brings high energy, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to her job everyday. She is very grateful for her family and honoured to be working with her teams.
